Researching into different music labels is vital for me as I’m creating my own music video and I need to have an in depth understanding regarding the media industry.

A record/music label is a brand or company that control the marketing of songs and music videos. Usually, the record label would be a publishing company that is in charge of the production, distribution, marketing and copyright laws for these songs and music videos whilst also scouting for new talent and maintaining contracts with other artists and their managers.
